“Allah will exalt those of you who believe and those who have the knowledge to high degrees”
(Al Mujadalah:11)
Arabic is not the native language of most Muslims, so they have to make an effort to learn at least enough to recite the Qur’an. The elderly often consider themselves too old to learn and shy away from learning the correct way to recite the Qur’an.
Realizing this grave shortcoming among Muslims, the Academy established this department to help elderly Muslims recite the Qur’an correctly, beautifully, and with the right pronunciation so they can pray individually and lead prayers easily.
The department relies on its well-trained teachers who have expertise in teaching the Qur’an to non-native speakers. They use different techniques and methods to make the learning process easier for students, and they also offer one-on-one and group classes.
So far, the department has helped hundreds of elderly Muslims learn how to recite the Qur’an correctly and received positive feedback from students and their families.
