The person (Imam) who leads the Muslims in prayers holds special significance in Islam. The Imam is a leader and a guide for the Muslim community, responsible for teaching Islamic doctrine and ensuring that prayers are conducted in accordance with the proper rulings and etiquette. The Imam’s role is also to serve as an example of piety and adherence to religious practice for other Muslims.
It was narrated that Abu Mas’ood al-Ansari said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The people should be led in prayer by the one who has the most knowledge of the Book of Allah; if they are equal in knowledge of the Qur’an, then by the one who has the most knowledge of the Sunnah.”
(Muslim, 1530).
The academy trains imams and preachers to recite in a way that can impact the heart of followers and increase their inclination toward their faith and concentration during prayers. It also aims to prepare future religious leaders who can guide people on the right path and inspire them to connect with the Qur’an.
We want our trained imams and preachers to be able to influence their congregations positively and help them grow closer to Allah through their recitations. Our goal is to produce religious leaders who are knowledgeable and passionate about their faith and can effectively communicate the message of the Qur’an to others.
